Breakfast on the Hvar waterfront
Most of Hvar Town wakes up late. We don't. Marigo Grill & Chill opens at 08:00 with a proper breakfast menu served on the seafront: Toast Benedict and Toast Florentine, our Delicious Monster sandwich, breakfast burgers, hand-cracked omelettes, tortillas, fresh smoothies, and the kind of coffee that makes you sit a little longer.
Best breakfast in Hvar
Most of Hvar Town sleeps until noon. We don't. Breakfast runs from 08:00 to 14:00. Toast California with guacamole and poached eggs, Hell Eggs bubbling in a cast iron skillet, Toast Benedict with hollandaise. The meal Hvar was made for, and most visitors never find it.

There are dishes you order once and request on the way out. Marigo Mediterrano - shrimps folded into tomato cream with baby spinach and parmesan - is one of them. Gorgonzola Beef, with steak strips and a garlic cream that earns its name, is another. Wild Shroom risotto. Pesto alla Genovese. Keep It Cheesy pizza with four different cheeses.

On the Hvar Riva since 1987
Grab a table on the Riva, order something off the grill, and watch Hvar do its thing. Same stone terrace since '87. Better menu.
Breakfast at 08:00. Burgers at noon. Grilled fish at sundown. Cold beer throughout. No gap, no dress code, no ceremony, because nobody should wait for good food on an island this beautiful.

We'll do the rest: a table by the water, the wines you'd like, a quiet corner for two or the long table for ten.

Yes - Marigo Grill & Chill serves breakfast every day from 08:00 to 14:00 on the Hvar Riva. Expect Toast California with poached eggs, English breakfast, Toast Benedict, Toast Florentine, breakfast burgers, Hell eggs, omelettes, the Delicious Monster sandwich and fitness granola - plus smoothies, fresh juices and proper espresso. Vegetarian options run across the entire breakfast menu.
We're at Trg Sv. Stjepana 11 in Hvar Town, about a six-minute walk from the harbour - right on the seafront promenade near the old harbour. Google Maps directions are available on our site and open natively on iPhone and Android.
Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are strongly recommended during the summer season (May to October), especially for dinner and weekend brunch. You can request a table directly on our website - we confirm within the hour by phone.
We have dedicated vegetarian and vegan dishes across the menu - from Hell eggs, Toast California, tortillas and omelettes at breakfast to pasta Pomodoro, Pesto alla Genovese, beetroot risotto, Wild Shroom risotto, the Veggie burger, Don't Worry Be Veggie pizza, watermelon salad, Greek and Caprese salads. All three smoothies and all seven freshly squeezed juices are vegan.
Marigo is open daily during the summer season, typically from May through October. Winter hours are limited - please contact us directly for off-season visits.
Yes - our terrace looks onto the old harbour. The light at golden hour is exactly the kind of moment people fly to Hvar for.
Hell Eggs, fitness granola, all seven freshly squeezed juices, caprese salad, Greek salad, veggie salad and the watermelon salad are all gluten-free. Cross-contamination is possible in a busy kitchen - if you have a clinical intolerance, please mention it when you order.
We open every day during season from 08:00. Breakfast and brunch run until 14:00. The grill and full menu continue through the afternoon and evening, with the kitchen open until 02:00.
Our pasta menu includes Marigo Mediterrano (shrimps, tomato-cream, spinach, parmesan), Gorgonzola Beef (steak strips, gorgonzola, garlic cream), Pesto alla Genovese and classic Pomodoro. Pizzas include Wild Wild Chick, Keep It Cheesy (four cheeses), Shrimps & Gorgonzola and Don't Worry Be Veggie. All pastas are available in spaghetti or penne.
